There were once two siblings, Huaxiang and Fenqiu, older sister and younger brother.
Huaxiang and Fenqiu had known poverty all their lives. Their father was an absent deadbeat, and their mother was a short-tempered mess who was working herself to actual death in order to keep her children fed and bills paid. In the end, all the work would earn her was an early grave– one that her own children had to dig themselves.
Fenqiu was just a little boy– like a little bunny. Huaxiang knew he couldn’t survive on his own, so she would work twice as hard for him. She never got to be a child after that, turning to a life of crime in order to make ends meet. From begging to stealing to gambling to murder. Huaxiang had gone from his gentle and kind older sister to a cold-hearted crimelord. The owner of the largest, greediest casino in the city.
Thankfully she still loved her brother more than anything– in fact she only held love for her brother. Everyone else in the city was an expendable card for her to play.
Fenqiu had grown up being coddled by Huaxiang. She didn’t want him to have to go through the hard life of crime she had, and this resulted in her sheltering him from how bad things really were… but Fenqiu wasn’t a stupid child anymore. He was a young man now– a young man who could see Huaxiang’s evil deeds through the cracks. He couldn’t fathom how his sweet older sister had gone down such a dark path.
One day, Fenqiu would run away from home– he was tired of the constant babying from his sister. He was gonna prove that he could be independent on his own…
This would lead to him getting picked up by a mysterious car on the street… Invited to join an even more mysterious gang of vigilantes.
This was his chance to finally do some good in the world to make up for all the bad his sister put in… Surely it would be that simple… right?
